FAQWhat are the event hours?We expect the festival to begin promptly at 10:00am Saturday, May 25th and run until approximately 3:00pm. To ensure you get to enjoy all activities we recommend attending earlier rather than later!
What is the address?Red Barn Preserve
518 River Road East Morristown, NY 13664 Is there a schedule or itinerary?As nearly everything is ongoing, we recommend arriving early to enjoy all the Spring Art Festival and Red Barn Preserve grounds have to offer.
Is parking available?Yes, parking will be available on your left as you approach the Red Barn Preserve from the north end of River Rd. If you're coming from the south, the opposite directions apply. Our volunteers will help direct traffic ahead of the festival start time. If parking becomes limited, you're welcome to park along River Rd. near the property.
Will there be refreshments?We cannot yet confirm if refreshments will be available for purchase. Last year we had refreshments from City Dawgs of NNY. Check out their Facebook page, linked here, for more details.
What are acceptable payment methods?Unfortunately we don't have details for every vendor's accepted payment methods. Because of this, we would recommend coming prepared with multiple methods of payment if you intend on purchasing art, refreshments or making a donation!

Deb MonteithCatch painter and jeweler Deb Monteith at The Gateway Museum's 3rd Annual Spring Art Festival! This year, Deb has added something new called Art on Glass, hand-painted impressions that incorporate her love of the river. Deb adds these works to the jewelry she creates from aluminum, copper, and sand. At the Art Festival, Deb will help children and adults maneuver marbles in paint to produce a unique piece of art for each participant!

Mary Ann EvansIf you haven't met Mary Ann Evans of Mare's Wares, you are in for a treat! Mary Ann is a potter and teacher with over 25 years' of experience creating beautiful, colorful, and functional pottery made from stoneware, raku, and porcelain. Meet her at the Art Festival at the Red Barn Preserve. There will be so much to experience!

Mark SchwartzMark Schwartz spent ten years as a professional wooden boat restorer in Clayton and now puts his skills to work creating little boats made from big boats and rustic furniture made from trees that grow on his property near Redwood. Pam WinchesterMeet another one of our featured artists! Pam Winchester is a mixed media artist who is passionate about creating and teaching art. She is currently painting two murals for the Hammond Historical Museum.

Dot and Jeff SwiftThe creations of Dot and Jeff Swift are both beautiful and useful. You'll find wooden boxes, segmented bows of various species, painted scenes on handsaws, ornaments, bowls, and plaques. Jeff has been woodworking for more than 17 years, and Dot has been a painter since she was a child.

Jack TaylorJack Taylor has carved wood for 26 years. His most popular work is a "comfort bird", with extremely smooth surfaces and a groove under the tail for rubbing during distress. You can find Jack in his shop carving, out on the trail hunting for wood or teaching others to see how a piece of wood can become art.
