The Big Fish: Making a Living from the River

With the St. Lawrence Seaway at our front door and famous Black Lake within our borders, we are a fishing paradise. To celebreate our legacy, we offer a new fishing exhibit that continues to grow through the work of our curator and several volunteers. The exhibit features two local fishermen: Allan Bogardus (Sturgeon Fisherman) and Jim Evans (Muskie Guide). Both men were superstars in their day and the Gateway Museum of Morristown is proud to tell their story.
