Summer 2019 Gallery 5- Farm House Renovation

When the Gateway Museum was bequeathed the Bogardus Farm in 2016- a farm house came with the property.  This stone house was built in 1835 and badly needed to be repaired and upgraded.  Fortunately for the Museum and the community a local citizen came forwarded and provide funds to do a large amount of renovation work.  For the last year (working only in summer/fall) the work has progressed nicely

The pictures to the right show the work that is currently going on ( pictures taken 6/23/19)

Using lots of volunteer labor-  the progress will continue.  Anyone interested in helping out should just stop by the house any day.  There is always someone there working on the project.
